BULGARO LEATHER

Bulgaro is a smooth leather produced by Lo Stivale, a long-established tannery based in the Santa Croce region of Italy. This region has a history of over 1,000 years as a center of leather production, and traditional vegetable tanning techniques have been passed down through the generations. Lo Stivale is also a member of the Italian Vegetable Tanners Association, and produces high-quality leather using environmentally friendly methods, without the use of chemicals, and only vegetable-derived tannins. Bulgaro has an especially smooth surface, making it a material highly valued by leather enthusiasts.

Traditional natural manufacturing method

This oiled leather is made using the Vacchetta method, a method with over a thousand years of history. The cowhide leather is carefully tanned with vegetable tannins and then infused with natural oils, allowing the leather to retain its rich moisture throughout. It is resistant to drying, and daily maintenance requires only a dry wipe. Regular application of cream will help keep the leather looking beautiful for years to come.

CRAFTMANSHIP

This Japanese-made key wallet is crafted in an atelier in Setagaya, Tokyo, by skilled artisans who carefully handcraft each and every one of them. Using their expertise in Italian leather, they meticulously polished the edges and finished every detail, and after more than five prototypes, they achieved the thinnest possible design. The result is a highly refined wallet, a first-of-its-kind product that combines storage capacity, functional beauty, and compactness.
